When local networking group, BNI Keighley Cougars, was looking for a venue with a difference for a visitor event, Skipton’s Copper Dragon Brewery was a clear favourite.
“Most of us had enjoyed the beer, were well aware of the brewery’s rapid success over the past few years and were keen to have the chance to find out more,” said group director Steve Burles.
The group, which meets every Thursday morning at Cougar Park in Keighley, held its special visitor event at the brewery on Tuesday April 5. The aim was to give local businesses the chance to meet the group’s 27 members as well as an opportunity to enjoy a private tour of the brewery followed by supper in the brewery Bistro.
“It was a terrifically successful night and I think what amazed everyone was just how technically advanced the brewery facility is – truly state-of-the-art and spotlessly clean,” said Steve.
As well as finding out how Copper Dragon brews it famously perfect pints, the group felt the venue was perfect in terms of being large enough to hold 60 people but also offering a warm, welcoming feeling with a nice atmosphere.
The brewery tour was followed by a hearty pie and pea supper – plus, of course, a pint of choice.
Said Steve: “The run up to the event and the evening itself went very smoothly. As each member invited various people, it was impossible to know how many would be attending until only a couple of days before the event. The team at Copper Dragon were incredibly flexible with this, preventing any last minute stress.
“The feedback from visitors was excellent and everyone had an enjoyable night. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Copper Dragon Brewery to anyone looking to organise an event – personal or business. “
A huge thank you to all at Copper Dragon Brewery from BNI Keighley Cougars!
